Stainless steel filter guard

Protect your shrimp and fry from getting sucked into your filter with these premium stainless-steel filter guards. Slip then over the filter intake and you're all set. The smooth design protects surprisingly well against clogging.
 
Made from a solid sheet of stainless steel, these are surprisingly attractive for a filter guard. The thousands of tiny (<1mm) holes, neatly neatly etched all around and on the bottom, protect small, vulnerable creatures without impeding water flow. You can even put small pieces of biological filter media or a sponge inside for bonus filtration capacity without having to look at a grimey sponge.
 
Works great with canister and hang on back filters as well as powerheads. Available in 12mm and 16mm sizes to grip all standard intake sizes.
 
Thes are designed to fit and function perfectly with our Lily Pipe Intakes as well as the VIV versions. either size sizes. Choose 12mm for a 12/16 intake and 16mm for a 16/22 one. They work well and look pretty neat too - allowing your to keep shrimp in an aquarium with an external filter.
