Poppy (Bubble) Outflow

Poppy outflows (also know as bubble outflows) are a type of "Lily pipe" designed for slower water movement and greater surface agitation that than classic lily pipe. These are well suited for fish that like slower water movement such as a Bettas, Guppies and Killifish. They are also angled slightly upward to agitate the surface of the water (depending how high you mount them) and are fantastic at breaking up surface  scum and aerating your aquarium while minimizing the loss of CO2 compared with an old-fashioned airstone or bubbler.
 
Designed to replace unsightly and frequently ineffective canister outputs, these look like a work or art and will give your aquarium a dramatic face lift when used alongside a matching glass intake. It replaces a lot of ugly plastic equipment with beautiful, clear, handblown glass fixtures and is indispensable for  an aesthetically pleasing aquarium setup. 
 
For the many aquarists dealing with unsightly (but harmless) surface  biolfilm, poppy pipes do a fantastic job at agitating the surface of water enough to break  up the scum without being noisy or losing too much CO2. The effect is enhanced with a skimmer intake although it is more effective than using a skimmer alone.
 
You can adjust the amount of surface agitation by changing out the mounting height. Mounting the outflow deeper results less  surface agitation ideal for planted tanks with CO2 injection. Higher mounting creates more surface movement and is great for aerating the water for certain animals (such as Goldfish) that require a  higher dissolved oxygen content. They are great for replacing noisy airstones and bubblers that massively reduces precious CO2.

These glass pipes are designed to be mounted with the 2  included  suctions cups but are also compatible with dedicated mounting brackets. They are suitable for both rimmed and rimless  tanks and come in two sizes to fit your canister hosing.
