Description
Hygrophila polysperma ‘tiger’ is an undemanding species that can adapt to a wide range of water types and temperatures. It grows tall quickly but can be pruned to create a manicured hedge well-suited to the midground or background of a tank. To propagate, segments can simply be clipped off and re-planted; even the smallest segments may be used to grow an entirely new specimen.
H. polysperma ‘tiger’ grows well even under low lighting, and produces long green leaves with distinctive darker green stripes. This species is easily cared for and requires neither carbon dioxide supplementation nor specialized tank equipment, making it an incredibly successful addition to all but the smallest aquaria.
