Hygrophila ‘Rosanervig’ is an undemanding plant that can be grown in virtually any conditions and makes a great plant for any aquarium due to its striking appearance, simple requirements, fast growth and natural tendency to branch out in an attractive fashion.
When high lighting and CO2 is added to the equation, this plant really shows off its stuff with beautiful pink to red foliage. This makes the plant a great choice for any aquascaper as it starts out simple and easy but grows with your skill level and equipment.
Because of its fast growth rate, like most variations of Hygrophila polysperma, H. ‘Rosanervig’ is absolutely fantastic for practical considerations. It is excellent for cleaning your water of nitrates, phosphates and heavy metals, making your aquarium a much healthier and more natural environment for fish and shrimp as well as deterring algae outbreaks.
Like its close relatives, Hygrophila ‘Rosanervig’ grows well in cold-water aquariums and is tough and fast growing enough to be kept with goldfish.
