Original "Bazooka" diffuser
The original "Bazooka" in-tank diffuser from UP Aqua can be used to create an impressive plume of CO2 micro-bubbles and is capable of processing huges quantities of CO2 at very high pressures for large and very heavily planted aquariums.
These diffusers use a very fine diffusion membrane shaped like a cylinder with a very large surface area to create a mist of CO2 that spreads out evenly in every direction. The specially engineered ceramic membrane has extremely fine pores and produces CO2 mist that is small enough to be carried by even a weak current. In a large aquarium, its efficiency rivals many in-line atomizers.
When used strategically, these diffusers can service tanks from 10 to 500 gallons. They are particularly effective densely planted set-ups. The diffuser itself is small enough to be easily hidden while powerful enough to feed huge amounts of CO2 hungry plants.
These diffusers should be installed near an area of strong current in your aquarium or under a filter or powerhead intake for maximum efficiency. When used in combination with a powerhead or a strong filter output, these diffusers are the single most efficient way of delivery CO2 directly to the leaves of your plants.
If you have a traditional glass diffuser, these are a revelation. In combination with a small powerhead or wavemaker, your plants will grow better and faster without using any more CO2!
