Automatic siphon and substrate cleaner
Introducing the Qanvee S-6 - the ultimate way to effortlessly clean your substrate and siphon water from your aquarium. Simply squeeze the bellows (to prime the siphon) and you're done! Water exits via 12/16 into a bucket or sink. No more aquarium water in your mouth!
Unlike the vast majority of these siphons, the Qanvee S-6 is made from high-quality ABS plastic and uses standard canister filter grade 12/16 hosing. The bellows is made from thick, rubberized plastic that is easier to use and far less delicate than the many lower-quality aquarium siphons that are common on the market. The Qanvee S6 is great because it's both useful and well built so it actually works as intended.
The height of intake can be easily adjusted to any depth to match the size of your aquarium or to determine how much water you want to remove. The whole system is designed to mount onto the side of your aquarium so you can leave it unattended, making water changes easier and far less labor-intensive.
It can also be used to add water back into the aquarium so the Qanvee S6 can be used as part of an automatic water changing system.
The base Qanvee S-6 includes the:
- Upper bracket and mounting clamp
- Telescoping intake tube (about 2 feet tall)
- Bellows for priming the siphon
- Generous length of green 12/16 hosing
- Intake grate to avoid sucking in large items such as substrate or shrimplets.
The base S-6 model can be expanded with the following optional accessories:
Substrate cleaner attachment: Easily removes gunk from your substrate bed without sucking up the substrate itself.
Shut-off valve: Turn the siphon on and off when you want without having to restart. It's especially useful when you need to change or empty the collection bucket or want to step away for a while. 12/16 size shut-off valves from third parties will work.
Extension tube: Adds an extra foot to the system for extremely deep aquariums or to make it easier and less arduous to clean far-away spots in very large tanks.
